ESRN Radio Requirements
In order to be a part of the CIRA portal of radio stations, your station MUST meet the following
requirements:
- Must play Black Gospel music of any genre at least 70% of the time.
For Christian talk radio, please ensure that your content is
family-friendly “No Exceptions”.
- CCM Stations must play at least 70%of any genre of CCM Music.
- Must use SAM Broadcaster or any other Broadcaster that allows you to see relay information and full automation.
- Must be licensed station through Loucity.com or by ASCAP, BMI, SESAC.
- Must obtain a minimum daily connection of 30 listeners after the first 3 months. If after 3 months you cannot keep and maintain 30 listeners, your station will be considered for removal from the network.
- Must have a Shoutcast stream that provides relay information.
- Must maintain no less than 98% uptime.
- Must have a bitrate of 56kps or higher, and for Talk Radio a bitrate
of 48kps minimum.
- It is recommended that you get your station on iTunes and Windows Media directories.
- It is mandatory that you purchase a banner ad on the network that
will be linked back to your radio station's website. You will be required to constantly promote your station in order to ensure audience growth.
